Bespectacled Hobo Queen

You dress like a hobo queen
Perforated denims
Embellished with logo-less tees

And titanium glasses
That glitter in the pallid moonlight
As I stretch my neck like an overeager ostrich
To catch a glimpse of your onyx eyes

Oh spectacles, like candy to a child
You wobble my knees
Resurrecting the Achilles in me
As the aching heart surrenders
To overt black holes of silica
In your quaint little universe
An inebriating loon
Infecting every coir of flesh
Of your rustling body

For you're no imposter
You're the moon with her overt craters
Imperfection that serenades
The soul of the onlooker
The queen of the night sky
That lights up my murky world
And sprinkles moonbeams
To my juvenile exuberance

A melange of love and lust
Inseparable
Like the soul and the conscience
Intoxicated by the honesty in display
Yet, nourished by your enshrined glow
As the heart prostrates
In front of my own Helen of Troy

Beauty carves the soul
Like an etching blade
Inner beauty melts the heart
Like a blow torch
And now here I lie
With a bleeding soul
and a melted heart
Tormented by you

As I wrestle in front of my typewriter screen
Correction fluid in hand
To erase your mementos
To bleach my soul of your color
Your aura relapses to my soul
Like a rainbow at dusk

For your beauty is not skin deep
It doesn't even touch your skin
It resides in a pair of titanium frames
Beyond which.......
Lies my Shangri-La

Your eyes my love..........

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
