*best Friend* Poem by Lau Jane

As i lay on your chest and hear your heart beat,
i feel a great comfort, my best friend is near me.
i remember you kissed me, i thought this was strange,
then you tell me you like me and things wont change.
I did not expect this, but it felt so right,
your who i compared against, your the perfect guy.
For years we have talked, shared meals and tears,
shared good times and friends, enemies and beers.
Now we have grown, together, not apart,
so strange it seems its like a new start.
Feeling so comfortable, feeling so safe,
Its amazing how things change but still stay the same.
We have always been inseperable, through the years,
but now we lay down and share more, theres no fear.
I feel more than naked for he's seen my soul,
he knows all my secrets and cares for me still.
My true friend i have pushed to the limits i know,
still strong he stays with me but what can i show.
I feel happy and sad but i have lost my best friend,
i now have a partner for life till the end.
