Best Of Friends (To Nicola) Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

Best Of Friends (To Nicola)

So much happiness has been created
By your sweet friendship and our times together,
Sometimes I think we must be related,
Two peas in a pod, two birds of a feather,
'Cos I'm the happy fool who's infatuated
And will always come running whatever the weather
To be your companion or even your slave! !
Such friendship cannot be overrated
So forgive me for the way I behave
Just like a child who needs your esteem,
Who's woken up from a wonderful dream
To find you really DO exist,
The angel that I've never kissed
And friend forever till the end of time,
Sweet inspiration of so many a rhyme! !
