God, I love you, even though we're nothing more than friends
But I hope there's a spot coming up where this roads bends
And you change your mind and ask the question
The one that I've cherished but thought you'd never mention
Our parents and friends don't need to know a thing
Until something happens and there's a real reason
They'll see us both texting and giggling to ourselves
But it's our own business, and not for anyone else
And it's just a hunch what they'll discuss when they mingle
