Bi-Polar Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Bi-Polar

First promise me the stars,
Then give me a bag of rocks.
Give me the world,
Then instead buy me a globe.
Both opposite in polarity.
As cardboard can only dictate so much.
Soon to unravel,
Wither up in the oceans seen in the otherwise
Broken promises made by you.
Without a rainbow to reassure promise.
The hemisphere between love and hate
Couldn't begin to equate the coordinates of your happiness.
The longitude and latitude of your mood
Parallel to the ever changing rotation of the man made Earth.
Depending on how fast you spin it.
As opposites attract
