Birds,
they fly across the sky
with wings spread wide
and here i remember
the caged days of my life.
I remember and i ponder
how life happened to be
and amongst the many stars
in the night sky
how lord's blessing
used to shine down on me.
Birds,
like time immemorial
will not make me forget
the pain in this life
that the caged bird would not forget.
Birds,
in many a colour
like the rainbow
makes my days brighter
when sorrows finds me no shelter.
Birds,
how lively they are,
full of chirping joys
that makes me wonder
where did i leave my love
of a million summer of daffodils
Birds,
they come and go
and as i watch them grow
upon the sadness of my life
as i so remember,
now and then,
how lively life happened to be.

Oh! My God. How easily you have put across everything from an easy-going life like that of a bird to the pain suffered later 'in this life....that the caged bird would not forget'. Thank you. where did i leave my love of a million summer of daffodils.... Birds, upon the sadness of my life
