Bitty's Plea Poem by Lorene Kinsey

Bitty's Plea

Gazes up big eyes so blue
"Mommy, don't go, just a few
More minutes with you.
Hold me and press your lips
To my chubby cheeks
Tell me you will miss me,
No, no more kisses, please.
I'll sit in your lap
And try not to cry
I'll let you hold me,
Just don't tell me ‘bye, bye.'
Mommy don't leave me,
I'll be so very good.
Eat well and listen and
The laundry, too, if I could."
