Blind Angel Poem by Moth Harris

Blind Angel

Live like an angel with burnt and charred wings
The honesty that truth brings has carried you far away from here
everything that we had dear has been shattered like glass
I look to my past and see that you never could see at all

The smoke has risen and drifted afar
Why is it I care so much that it makes it hard
After I cleaned up the glass with my so badly broken heart
I see how blind you've been from the start.

Acted like an angel with a blindfold of a halo.
Couldn't you see the pain I've faced traced to my past.
When she ripped my heart out, I knew it wouldn't last.
I don't see hope beyond my despair
When I try to feel love, nothing is there.
It's insignificant to me now, how this has turned.
Your wings are so badly broken and burned.
You're no angel anymore...
