Blinded Poem by Katusiime Jeresi

Blinded

Rating: 5.0

The world was moving on
When you were cradling your pain
And singing its magnitude
Unsung heroes were doing
Exploits
As you broke bread with hopelessness
The world went about its charity
Of helping life thrive.

Now you ask me why everything
Changed
You my dear dwelt in the darkness
longer than
Was necessary
Now the light simply
Blinds you.
