Blinding Light In The Dark Poem by Harvey Horst

Blinding Light In The Dark

Rating: 5.0

I wish I were drowning
In a calm blue serenity
Or at least sinking
Into something like that

Yet here I am flailing
through empty space
Brightly burning
Just to spite the lack of air

I dream that I'm insane
That they'll shock me til I'm not
Yet still I remain
Burning bright in the dark

I can feel the poet's suffocation! Extremely well constructed....5 stars
