Blisters And Bruises Poem by Airda Jones

Blisters And Bruises

Rating: 5.0

You'd be breaking my bones
If I really had any
As weird as it sounds
I'm just not sorry

Because it's about time
I get my turn
While you've been living the drama
I've been taking the burn

And you can only
Hold onto the flame
Before it starts to
Burn you all the same

So I'm fighting now
Your fire with mine
And I'm not taking
All the heat this time

Find a candle or
Someone else who
Will carry your problems
Because I'm done blistering for you.

it was fire fighting all the while... enough...and now it's your turn... you decide to fight with weapon fire...powerful challenging words, Airda...well framed...10
