River of life - Blood
coursing through conduits,
fluid tissue with formed elements,
and host of chemicals that the body needs,
And pumped by heart - a muscular organ
To every part
for giving nutrition
Removing waste metabolites from cells.
Yes, blood is red and thicker than water!
With Proteins, hormones and gases that diffuse,
Through capillaries, reaching every cell:
A source of immunity for life-time.
If not for natural blood that circulates
In pulsatile way through the arteries,
Returning to the heart in ones alive,
The brain will die and so will vitals all!
The fluid that brings harmony in life
Amongst the organ-systems working fine
Has myriad substances within range
Affecting growth and functions of persons.
Donating blood
To save lives
Is a noble sacrifice
And exercise!
