Blossom Poem by Paul Reed

Blossom

Rating: 5.0

I have walked upon damp blossom this very morning
Fallen and grounded, flattened by the night's rain
Your year-long struggle sweetly over
And saddened by the downward pain;

Yet it was worth more than your death
To see your life's renewal on the bough
For we see and glory in your making
And though we stare, we know not how.
