Blue Eyes Poem by Rachel Brewer

Blue Eyes

I knew you couldn’t be human.
Not with those eyes.
Those eyes that shone,
They shone in the night.
Blue.
Nothing but blue.
It was all I could see when I looked at you.
They were pure and beautiful,
As were you.
But you were not human.
You were vampire,
And my heart still burned for you.
It burned for those blue eyes,
Those shockingly blue eyes,
Those devastatingly blue eyes.
I held you that night,
And looked deeply into your soul,
Even though you didn’t have one.
I could see you,
And only you.
That is why I fell in love with you,
With you and your blue eyes.
