Blue February Promised

January's promise
was disguised
in a February blue
while the sun was
shinning thru

In the cold
while the flowers
were blooming
bright blue

Clear skies and
coming snow
Y'a know, I only
wish the best,
you know

From the yellow butter
and almost white
jonquil's bloom
To the other
and empty
gloom

I turn only out of effort
turn into the cold and blue
turn slowly to you
slowly raising my hand to you
would you too

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
