Bonfire Poem by Joen Coronel

Bonfire

woods chuckle softly

as bodies get warm

air sends sparks

like fireworks around

ember sleeps under

but above the cold ground

smoke’s attracting

colorless silver wind

night whips wintry

heat-stricken skin

bidding goodbye

to a paper-thin spine

abandoned by evening rush.
