Bound To Change Poem by Laquory Jones

Bound To Change

Verse 1
Things are always bound to change
That's what society say
Sometimes words don't truly convey
Every emotion that's put into play
You lie to yourself stating that every-
Thing will continue to be okay
But you know what I find kind of
Strange are the memories that seems to
Never fade only just replays I guess
In the end that's okay because with
Out them it's never quite the same
Like a picture without a frame
I'm sure there's more that I want
To put upon this page perhaps it's just
Me going through another phase

Verse 2
Perhaps you can truly taste my pain
It just seems like I'm losing you all
From friends to family
And no one's quite understanding me
Who would've knew that everything
Would become much harder to chew
So many things remain askew
I don't really know what else to do
Feeling so lost and blueberry blue
Letting these thoughts continue
To ensue but in the end what am I
Trying to pursue visions of grabbing
Your arm just to get one more look
Upon your shining face hoping that
You don't ever walk away
Oh Richie let the cards fall where
They may but inside I can't
So much angst's on display

Verse 3
Like that one scene in Music & Lyrics
With Drew Barrymore and Mr. Hughes
Loneliness everybody feared it
Those silent screams everybody
Heard them so many rising emotions
To even word them just a feeling as
Life becomes unglued I don't mean
To be rude I guess we had to move
On someday just wishing that it
wasn't today while running out of
Words to say with every emotion
Cascading into place sometimes
Words don't truly convey everything
That you want to say there's a
Million possibilities and one
But guess what I've never won
Only becoming more undone

Verse 4
Wondering if I'll ever break
That mold with you along the
Center-fold together never
Growing old like many of
Life's love parables
But in the end one could
Only dream as it dangles
Just out of reach I guess that's
What those are designed to teach
That the search is never quite
Complete and every now and then
One must taste the bitterness
Of defeat and I know when I'm
Beat just know that you'll
Always have a friend in me
If you're ever in need

Verse 5
Just hoping that you achieve
Everything that you want in life
Although I'll be loving you from
Afar this isn't goodbye
It's more like until we meet
Again toward that morning light
And whenever you come across
My art give it a little
Smile to provide its spark
For when your world is hectic
And gloomy dark so as I sail
Across the setting sun
Coveted by the moon just know
There'll always be room for you
