Bowl Of Blue Poem by Lizzie Lum

Bowl Of Blue

Rating: 0.5

Like solo vessels valiantly sailing through
We’re on our way now. Each and every one
Bows rising and falling in the direction of a setting sun

None shore.

Reflections of the voyage bathe bold hearts
Some storm-weary, others greenly setting sail
But we greet each other on the crests of crystal waves
As we delight in moments that inspire the course of our lives
Beckoned to receive the gifts of this one breathtaking horizon
Shared comradeship that warms our backs and steers us ever-onwards

Memories shaped from treasured moments
Now ripples in our swell - never to be bleached by searing sun
Nor ever washed away by merciless tides
For they rouse us to explore new frontiers
Because we all know that journey’s end
Is just another channel to cross
And goodbye’s not really any end at all in waters that run deep
Friendships forming strong currents of determined seas
One and all floating atop this beautifully bizarre bowl of blue
