Bravado Poem by Mike Snow

Bravado

I`ve never been too much
for women or faith,
and all I`ve ever asked,
is to be left alone
when I`m on the make.
How many miles I`ve traveled,
from town to dusty town?
How many men I`ve cheated,
cheated or gunned down?
Women I have known,
women I have bed.
None ever meant too much,
goodbye is all I said.
Riding on a stolen horse,
and avoiding every light.
Laughing at the wanted posters,
join my friends for the fight.
Well take me as you find me,
and leave me the same way.
Don`t ever try to change me,
cause I`ll be gone come light of day.
Look at me and you will see,
all that you will get.
I ain`t gonna stop this running,
and settle down just yet.
Riding tight on my freedom,
destroying the things I love.
I ain`t really bad, but
got the devil in my blood.
