Bridge Over Poem by Roger Hudson

Bridge Over

Blue spider bestrides the nightscape
Fairy cobweb emerges magically from the morning mist
Sturdy steel Cuchulain drives his chariot across the Boyne
Reins taut
As motorway trucks surge to commercial war
Between his braced legs
