Brinnie Poem by Rosemary Monahan

Brinnie

Since the first time I saw you
I've grown to love you as mine
You were like a son to me
You were part of my family
Never a bother to care for
You learned to be well-mannered
I even taught you to kiss properly.

But now you are no longer with us
We never wated to leave you there
I hope you can forgive us
But, please never forget us
We will always remember you
We do love you and forever will...

(1984)

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Of course this is about my beloved cat who I loved so much. He really was special to me. He got very sick and had to let him go.He is forever missed.
