Broken Poem by Matthew Edan Oliver Palma

Broken

Broken arms
Binded souls
Dangerous charms
Twisted goals

My heart speaks its tears for you
The sadness it bore for love of you
Then suddenly the stillness
The slowly creeping madness
The eerie warmth of darkness
A soul that longeth for death…

Why do you flee with my advance?
Why so afraid to take the chance?
The things you hide…
The curse of each lie…
Your charms that cast the die…

My mind stakes its claim on you
The longing that it holds for only you
Then finally the emptiness
This fast approaching sadness
The inevitable despair
A heart can no more bear …

Fading lives
A fatal blow
Destitute cries
This suffering to know…
