Broken And Bounded Upon The Floor Poem by Daya Nandan

You broke my heart and shattered my soul,
You damaged my thoughts, i have lost control,
And now i am a slave of my emotions, treated unkind,
Despair and depression now conquer my mind,

These dark emotions within are beginning to flood my heart,
The build up of emotions are slowly tearing it apart,
My heart is so heavy, it is getting harder to breathe,
My poor swelled up heart flooded with emotions underneath,

Lost in the vast and hollow numbness of depression and despair
An abyss of the broken hearted where i am gasping for air
With tears flowing down, such sadness that i cannot hide,
My soul within me all broken up inside,

Before you left i had no idea love could bring such pain
Making all the lovely years we put in lost in vain,
I am torn apart since the day you walked out the door,
Without the will to live, broken and bounded upon the floor
