broken girl

A cry in the dark

A scream no one can hear

Is this what ive become

Lonesome and forgoten

A dream broken

A life givin up

I lye awake in the dark

I used to think the world was perfect

When I looked in the mirror i was happy

Now I practice a smile

I put on a show

Tell u im fine

I breathe in

My life flashes before me

I remeber happy times

When they hugged me tight

Before we started to fight

Now I see a broken girl

Is the mirror broken

Is that really me

Am I really alone

Am I really the broken girl i never though id be

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
