Broken Reflection Poem by Insignia Rose

Broken Reflection

Rating: 3.8

A proof of existence denied,
standing silent,
as the lies reached their end.
This world has rent asunder,
myself and all that I wonder.
Can you see it?
my tears have dried
and this blooming flower as well,
has been left behind.
heh...
your mind goes blank,
your thoughts are nigh,
your very words,
are just a sigh.
But what to discover?
This is just excuses,
I cannot recover.
This lying heart shattered.
And I burst out laughing,
Why not?
Nothing left anyway to batter.

Just like me, you lied,
Just like me, you are to die.
And we both died standing.
and as we broke apart,
I burst out laughing again,
a dying spark.
Glittering in the wind,
whispering to me,
those lies,
that I cannot keep.
If I reach out my hand,
to find the pieces,
my reflection too,
stares at me in pieces.
Its forlorn stare,
pierces my lungs,
freezing me numb.
I shiver and shiver,
startled and rash,
and then shake my head as I have to laugh.
Fingers graze the full red lips of lies,
The blood from the tips,
pierces my eyes.
The red overwhelms,
All I see,
Until the blood,
is all left to me.
The reflection, in the broken mirror, This broken reflection.
