Building A House Of Prayer (2) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Building A House Of Prayer (2)

In Christ we build but not alone
God’s faithful hand is real
He sees each brick as precious stone
Mortar His golden seal

Though bricks and mortar cannot last
In time but dust we’ll see
Like God’s true people in the past
Lets build to always be

We’ll build a shadow of the dawn
An echo of life’s song
Whisper in faith, of hope reborn
To where we’ll soon belong

The Groom is faithful to His bride
Each day with blessings new
Forever willing to provide
He’ll surely see us through

Lets be in Christ God’s righteous tools
Stand firm with willing hand
Although to some we seem as fools
They’ll come to understand

As bride we’ve gifts we’ve talents too
Through Christ we’re richly blessed
That soon the world may come to view
And hear our Holy Guest

Lets walk with Christ the extra mile
Lets give till feeling pain
Lets show the world a loving smile
Lets see her born again

Our house will stand when all else falls
Though storm and blasts of war
With praise and worship as it’s walls
With Christ our mighty Door
