What do you think this poem is about?

Burning Blue

Photons lacerate the air in waves of ev'ry hue,
plunging through successfully except for burning blue.
Motes of dust and water drops play cricket with blue balls,
weaving veils of endless blue in vast concentric shawls.
When the rays are vertical they drill through skin and bone,
drain all sheen from vibrant green, steal water from dry stone.
Then all life is forced to heed light's power to subdue.
The mantle of the victor is a fire of flaming blue.

excellent write...the hottest part of the flame is colored blue...maybe the victor has a flame of burning copper... :)

Next to white light, a combination of all color frequencies, blue light can be seen the furtherest of any other color.
For flame to burn blue there has to be a perfect combination of essential elements. For any thing to be blue flamed means
that there is no room for perfection.Pure in element, pure in strength, pure in conception.

I keep coming back to this one over and over.I read it and take a deep breath and then sigh; Then I begin all over again. It's insatiable and I don't know why.

Ok the ole Captain will take a gander,
think your referring to the blue atmosphere
    our mantle of endless blue.
    Well written.

Beautiful.I might be wrong(it does happen) but for me it sums the split second of being splashed.I hope that does not insult your intentions.

Thanks for all your kind comments on my poems.I had stopped writing poetry as I was concentrating on novels(I have one completed and one very close to completion) .But the encouragement I have encountered on here has helped a great deal(and some of these are quite old actually) .I hope to have 100 poems on here by the end of the week.
Then I might look into creating a poetry e-book.

    Regards

You have an exceptional vocabulary and the natural comfortable flow to play and place the words with confidence skill and create something entirely out there and different. Love the title as to me it sounds almost contradictory. I know that blue sits in flames but I always see it as a cool colour.I think in all honesty some of this goes over my head after missing much school but I appreciate my version of how I see it Thanks Karen

Forceful portrayal of the might of sun's rays hitting poor old earth - at least that how I've interpreted it! Nice rhyming couplets complement.

Now I thought the underlying colour of the cosmos was turquoise....

I really like this- a lot.
