Burning The Candle At Both Ends Poem by Robert Sheridan

Burning The Candle At Both Ends

I am so tired, I toss & turn every
night, can't slept a wink - I keep
letting everything get to me, my
little grey cells are on the blink;
I am tired of surfing the web, no
safety net; tired of being used
by everyone as their personal
punching bag - the new golden
rule is 'Do unto others before
they do unto you'; everything
is going wrong from A to Z - I
can't take much more of it; I
sit & wonder what happened
to the 7 C's? I am sure you
have forgotten, so here they
are, it's time to think -
courtesy
communication
common-sense
compassion
commitment
character
consistency
Now, you would probably
say that I am putting you
on, but this is not a joke,
by forgetting these, you
are doing yourself, me,
& everyone else great
harm, not to mention
future generations; you
know, the funny part of
it all, it would not take
much to bring back a
little piece of mind; so
what do say? let's all
quit acting like a bunch
of miserable wimps!
