Some dreams are meant to be in dreams
I crushed and buried those treasured dreams
Because they reminds me wherever I go
The dreams which can never be true
They are blocking my way to the destiny
Why to bother if it can't be achieved
Better to chase for something new
Erratum: Please read as: They have blocked or they are blocking. But in deltanox, everything is right
Better to chase for something nee! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
An interesting poem! I'm not really sure, but guess, people know which of their dreams deserve to end up like this, having been buried.
Hi Rini, A sharp departure from the other poems of Rini. Normally, Rini's poems exude positivity and happiness. But here is one totally immersed in the ruins of un-achieved dreams. : : Some dreams are meant to be in dreams: : she says! A statement of desperate anguish. In an effort to come out of this state of mind, : : : : I crushed and buried those treasured dreams Because they reminds me wherever I go The dreams which can never be true They are blocking my way to the destiny: : We should note the phrases: : Treasured Dreams: : , : : Dreams which can never be true: : : , : : Blocking my way: : , : : Destiny: : - They are expressions of sheer exasperation. It is a half-hearted statement- : : Why to bother if it can't be achieved: : Even the final statement, : : Better to chase for something new: : lacks conviction. The poet indulges in licking the wounds of old cherished dreams. Not able to come clean out of their clutches. Poem well written. The anguish and sorrow and remorse are brought out with touching accuracy. But I would look forward read a poem by Rini, which abounds in happiness, gaiety and confidence.
You are a great observer. As you said yes those are half hearted statements and written in desperate anguish. No one likes to bury their treasured dreams but sometimes it's good to forget them an move forward. But the pains remains forever... Thank you so much for reviewing
