I can't tell you the truth
I can't tell you that you are amazing
I can only tell you that you are a good person
I wish I could move in close
to the edge of your ear lobe
and whisper in your ear
with lips that brush against your skin
and hands that graze over the skin of your back
with slow affectionate movements
But I can't
I should just get this out of my head
but my head is soaked with these feelings
I don't know if it will ever dry up
