Buttercup, My Feline Daughter Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

Buttercup, My Feline Daughter

Here lies Buttercup, our feline friend,
With white fur as soft as downy feathers.
Green eyes that sparkled, a true gem,
Graceful gaits, a cat of all weathers.

Russian breed, a beauty beyond measure,
With a sophisticated air like her owner Sophie,
Her human-like qualities, a true treasure,
Bringing joy to all those who did know thee.

You roamed the halls, with a gentle purr,
A symbol of comfort and love so true,
Fierce in play, yet gentle in a blur,
You brought us laughter, with each mew.

Though you may have left this earthly place,
Your spirit remains a beacon of light,
In our hearts and memories, you'll always grace,
Forever shining, and forever bright.

So rest in peace, our beloved Buttercup,
A feline daughter, so dear and so true,
May you bask in the warmth of endless love,
Till we meet again, beyond the sky so blue
