Butterfly Angel Poem by Leonard Rebello

Butterfly Angel

I burnt my tears the other day

The sky was blue

And the wind was blowing silently

It rustled my heart along with my hair

At first I thought everything was over

But then I realized

A tiny butterfly had nestled on my right shoulder

It sat there silently beating its delicate wings

I could almost feel the vibrations of its tiny heart

It looked at me most lovingly

Consoled me, shone a bright light through my soul

Then it took off

Circled around me thrice

I could almost feel its wings all around me

As if it was embracing me in its tight warm hug

And then with a majestic gesture

And with one last loving look into my eyes

It set forth to console another soul

Thank you my friend for the hugs

And for thou light

It made me assured that the world is a better place

Because of a butterfly.
