Bzindamojig Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Bzindamojig

Bzindamojig

Is honour
Was honour
It will be forever.

Having the tobacco to offer
As we did the coca.

You blind
Gringo, Baptiser
Egoist for the wealth.

You never
Have; will not
Digest it; you filthy.

She offered the sacred
I reached out with both hands
When taking Tobacco; as respect.

Miracle is advice:
‘Way to learn
Must listen.’

Let me be
One; Anishinabe
To be an, Anishinabe.

“To be part of mankind,
One must be human.”
How lovely!

Only, the listeners
Can have it, in learning.
