Calling My Name Poem by Shelby Smith

Calling My Name

In dark tunnel, trying to find a way out
It's as a gloomy winter day
Full of fear and doubt
But in the distance, a nice bright ray
Shines right to me
Almost calling my name
It's hard to see
It's just not the same
I'm use to seeing rain
But in the light with so much in sight
There is no pain
It feels so right
With flowers and tress smiling at me
As far as my eyes can see
There must be some fee
Maybe there is a key
Never could there be something so good
A day with no rain
Making you feel as you should
How can there be a day of no pain

I think I'll try
What do I have to loose
With all this going by
There must be a way out of this blues
I'm going to go
And reach for the stars
I think it will show
I can break through these bars
Almost there
Just one more step
I just have to share
Everything was swept
There is nothing there
I feel that breeze
Almost if there's someone who cared
I've always had the keys
Just to listen for that sweet sound
The one that was calling my name
And as I looked around
I realized, it wasn't the same...
