Can'T Fix This - Poem by Anna Dietze

I gave you another chance
To fix what was once broken
You promised you wouldn't screw up
Like before
I was dumb enough to believe you
It was like I always wanted
A fairy tale
At first
Then came the broken promises
One after another
You'd say you'll call
But never did
You'd say you'll come visit me
But never did
Excuse after excuse after excuse
I'm surprised we lasted as long as we did
No more promises
No more excuses
No more lies
I'm done listening anymore
There's not enough glue or tape in the world
To fix this
