Can'T Have Poem by by her

Can'T Have

Can’t have you now,
I know I’ can’t.
But someday,
Somehow,
When things are right,
When problems are just fine.
I know,
I know I just know.

Can’t have you now,
I know I shouldn’t.
But tomorrow,
Maybe next year,
Or even when we’re colder.
We’ll have each other.
I believe,
I know that I believe.

Can’t have you now,
I know I wouldn’t.
But yesterday,
Those days.
Memorable and amiable.
They’ll get back to us.
Remind us of the impossible,
Impossible made possible.
I see it,
I can feel it.
I know that I can.

Can’t have you now,
And maybe I’ll never.
But loneliness turns to happiness,
Opposites become synonymous,
And infidelity becomes clean by chastity.
Destiny has its way,
I know it has.
And I believe that I’ll have you someday,
I believe that you’re sailing my way.

Can’t have you now,
And this statement is plain foolishness.
I know you’re not really in my midst right now,
But someday,
Somehow,
Through the darkness of our dreams,
And through the light of our fears,
I’ll have you my dear.
I know I’ll have you.
And it’s now and forever.
