Can'T Nobody Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Can'T Nobody

Tonight,
Noone else in the world exists,
An open space filled with lights,
No lines to stand in as everything is open,
Tonight lets count the stars as their gleam welcomes your smile amongst them,
If you should become cold, let my hands warm you,
Why should you compete for something that's already yours,
Tonight, lean a little bit closer,
Listen to the sound my heart makes as it's never fluttered like this before, curious to the hair that stands with your every touch,
For you,
I'd stop the stars from their luminious wonderment and replace them with your eyes,
For you,
I'd gather the planets and tie them upon a string to hang on your neck,
Do you think anyone would notice,
There's no need to try on the perfect dress,
To fix your face with pastels that match your heels,
The trinkets that rattle around your wrist,
Your just as beautiful as when my fingers tickle your sides,
I'd never want to leave your side,
As Pluto is no longer present to feel the stratosphere of your touch,
The coming of your smile as morning is just before us
