Candlelit Memoirs- A Dreamers Reality Poem by Dani Miller

Candlelit Memoirs- A Dreamers Reality

I saw your face; your eyes locked with mine.
My face almost cracked from the smile I created.
I hugged your neck and cried my tears of joy.
I never let you go neither out of my sight.
Our fingers interlaced; the most perfect fit.

I taught you how to ride a bike,
And we laid in the grass making shapes in clouds.
We even swam with the dolpins together.
The stars shown brither than ever that night,
Illuminating the eighth world wonder: Alvania.

As the stars show brightly that night,
We sat in this tree; Over this lake.
And we talked for hours, laughing of various things,
Not affected by the cold winter night.
Then we talked of how hard it is being away from each other...

We cried together as you held me in your arms,
Neither of us spoke in this crucial moment.
My gasoline heart was set ablaze by your touch,
My burning tears turned to sweetness that day.
And the time passed ever so slowly...

Then, with the stars shining so bright..
Our world was burned into the sky that night.
Every memory, every insider; everything we did is there.
You just have to close your eyes and breath in fresh air
So you can visit my world.

Hurry though, before you wake up too.
