Caring Poem by Micron

Caring

He dug a hole in the earth with thought carefully
Added nutritious soul feed then planted me
My tender branches developed grew became strong
With his tender care to bloom wasn’t long
Time progressed and less care attention I got
I was simply ignored for greater flowers and forgot
I put my strength for him to simply grow more
Only for him to roughly cruelly cut me to the floor
Though I struggled and still flowered for all to see
He no longer saw cared or tried to tend to me
Then no one ever seemed to ever appear
I was left alone wrapped in this blanket of fear
Strangling weeds brambles grew all around
They became so thick I could hear no sound
My branches grew thicker and more gnarled
My thorns grew crueller, my heart froze hard
With a glimmer of hope I put forth an occasional bloom
In hope someday in someone’s heart for me they’d find room
Then one day someone appeared from nowhere
My faded potential, my withered beauty he did see
He cleared all the weeds that were strangling me
At last I could feel the air again caressing my leaves
Water droplets fell refreshing, as I really needs
The suns warmth embraced again imparting comfort around
And feed nutrition was given to my roots in the ground
His love care attention nurtured the one no one did see
I grew strong, flowering and was allowed to develop as just me.
