Casa Vitae

Er zit een scheur
in de drempel
van mijn deur
mijn domicilie
mijn tempel
het is de ader
het ventiel
dat het grote
met het kleine
wiel verbindt
perfectie zit
in het krakeel
het patine-nee
het patine-ja
en de poreuze
muren
in het mos
uit de tuin
van de buren
en in de
neerslaande druppels
op het spatbord
van mijn oude fiets
het kost niets
dus doe de
deur maar open
voordat ze
binnenvalt.

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Edward Housman

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
