Caught Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Caught

Caught

Can you, one, anyone, come tell me?
With these eyes on the screen,
Shiny-bright, green-grey, lovely young
And eyebrows, well-penciled
Nose powdered
Eyelashes mascaraed and too wide

How can I?
How can I sit idle pen aside?
If you know beauty; how it hunts
I cannot
Like a mouse in cat's palm
I am caught.
