Center Of A Fireball Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Center Of A Fireball

Tightness as in your teens
axe handles and short digging sticks
Beat your flesh as you did then
Test your sensitive centers
head, chest, stomach, loins
Bite hard each deadly bullet
squeeze each ragged rock dry
take heart brave men
your captains now arrived
He has begun the calling
his enemies will soon be falling
into the center of his fireball.
