H-old it in a deeply felt way;
A-ppreciate the break of dawn,
R-ising to shine without delay.
L-ove the day of birth,
E-njoying the pure pleasure;
N-either despising nor abhoring
E-ither ecstasy or rapture.

L-ike the day of birth,
O-n seventeenth September morn;
Q-uest for fresh feeling
U-ntil it erases the thorn.
E-xecrate not the birthday,
N-or detest the nice gold ring;
A-ccept the thousand thrill,
R-eceive the sweet cake's icing.
I-n your heart you nurture the cause of million mirth;
O-pen your life to harbor or cherish the day of birth.
