Child's Mind Poem by Melissa Coventry

Child's Mind

Rating: 5.0

I totally accept I’m young,
And foolish and stupid,
That others are better then I,
That I can only be grateful,
For what they offer
But how can I, accept,
The ‘will happen one day’,
To, be transcending,
Into being older
But how can I abandon,
My child mind?
How can I, accept,
What I already know,
After being told,
That really this is how the world is?
I don’t want to be a Peter Pan,
Or ignorant adult,
But why? Tell me ‘you don’t know’,
When sense of the world,
Is so clearer,
With a child’s mind

You don't need to be Peter Pan or Wendy, just be your delightful self. Hugs, Jez
