Choices My Dear Poem by Wayne McCullough

Choices My Dear

This is kind of a different poetry style I am not sure everyone will get that doesn't depend on a rhyming scheme, but I like it so I write that way a lot.

Inner thought, such power, such binding.
My darkness pours into your very soul.
My words creating imprint upon your mind.
Your essence absorbing me into your pores.

So very close, so very far, you struggle.
I am angry, I am disappointed, I laugh.
The humor in your circumstance, brilliant.
My heart at war with my sadisim.

I want you to be well, I want you to scream.
I want you to go to hell, I want you to dream.
I want you to bleed, I want you rest.
I want your needs, I want your distress.

The cerberus in my soul rages as I hold it back.
You don't even know its there, ready to attack.
I let slip a few links of the chain, closer it comes...
The heart or the monster, choices my dear.
