Circumstances.
Gone are those days
and with it
all those feelings
that we silently
and secretly
exchanged through
our amorous eyes
escaping and piercing
those numerous eyes.
But to our dismay,
all those glimpses
neither allowed us to
part nor to meet.

But now...
Ah! all those gentle
and modest exchanges
have now taken
more concrete shapes.
I know, I am
of someone else
and perhaps you too...
but still, yours
and mine steps
lead to each other.
And my eyes have
become numbed
seeking desperately
your visage
among crowds.
And frozen arms of
mine...
may be yours too
in this chilling winter
pleads and cries
for one warm hug
to come to life.

lovely sentiment in your work Wangdi, I could survive a whole week on a hug! lol Your poem reminds me of one I wrote along similar lines...I may just search it out. 9 from Tai, wishing you a Happy 2006
