Clear Waters Poem by Stephanie Boccia

Clear Waters

Clear waters, no reflection
Running tears filled with rejection.
Warming hands without a print
Nothing less than a huge hint.

Crocodile snaps his jaws tight
Gobbled up without a hard fight.
Stuck your head straight down his throat
All that's left's your beaten up coat.

Woven tight to tie a knot
Just so happens you get caught.
Neck is swollen crying out
But you're calm without a doubt.

On the table there it lies
Friends and family reads then cries.
One small note sure means a lot
Makes you think, should it not?
