Clown Poem by David Harris

Clown

Rating: 5.0

To friends I may seem like a clown.
Yet every clown wears a mask
with a smile upside down hidden there.
A big teardropp painted on his cheek
hides the real ones there.
Clowns make people laugh
only to hide their own misery and despair.

There was no sign of a frown at Stratford, and you brought smiles to all our faces there. But behind even the sunniest faces you will find the tears and heartache...... Great piece of writing, David. Love, Fran xxx

Take a good look at my face, can`t you see my smile is out of place, no one can see the tracks of my tears... Some should make a song..: -) 10

There; s a painful amount of truth in there D. Yes, I'm pretty good at playing the fool myself; jollity can hide tears; but on the other hand.... smile and the world smiles with you! Smiling with you through tears or otherwise sweetheart... and see ya tonight! ! ! ! t x

You don't seem like a clown to me David, not at all....Some times tears don't stop even if one has no mask to hide behind....love, marci.
