Cold Food Day (Seven Jue) Poem by Luo Zhihai

Cold Food Day (Seven Jue)

★ Cold Food Day (Seven Jue)

☆ Poetry by Meng Yunqing (725? -? , Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

In February flowers full of the branches in south river
On the Cold Food Day of the alien land more sorrows
The poor living often has no fireworks
Not just for commemorating Zitui tomorrow

注:寒食节,古代中国为纪念忠义之士介子推(春秋时晋国人)设立的节日。
Note: The Cold Food Day, this is the festival setting up for commemorating a loyal man of Jie Zitui (a man of Jin State during the spring and Autumn Period) in the ancient China.
