Collective Synesis Poem by nathan martin

Collective Synesis

people that collect marbles also
collect like terms. these people
may collect unemployment in
florida as well. sitting out in thier
front yards they collect memories
to store in thier pockets, as they
converse and philosophize with
plastic pink flamingos.

people that collect english dining
ware also collect dust. thier collective
unconscious has forgotten paradise.
they have all left eden to watch the
antique roadshow in minneapolis.

people that collect swiss watches
also collect minutes and seconds.
thier angels move in oyster perpetual
motion collecting prayers.
